Germany, France and other EU countries listed for Visa Exemption and Visa on Arrival – announcement to be made at ITB Berlin 2019. Lifting of visa requirements considered for EU countries and Germany and France lead the list according to the document circulated at the meeting at Inya Lake Hotel on 10 February 2019. Japan, South Korea, Macao, and Hong Kong tourists who hold ordinary passports are already granted visa exemption with effect from 1st October 2018. Travelers are allowed to enter Myanmar through International Gateways such as the international Airports, Seaports, and selected land borders. Other country nationalities who gets a visa exemption period of 14 days include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam. Visa fee US $50 per person will be collected on arrival and allowed to stay for 30 days with no possibility for extension.
