An MoU will be signed in this month between Myanmar and China to establish a cultural exchange centre with the aim to understand each cultures, per source of the responsible person of Ministry of Culture. “We are now discussing the matter. The Chinese are willing to open Myanmar Centre in Beijing. They would like to open in Yangon. We are at negotiation stage, not finalized yet,” he said. The responsible persons of Ministry of Culture and Chinese Embassy had discussed on 19 August regarding the cultural exchange, archeological and cultural matters. The centres will exhibit arts and crafts, cultural articles,  archeological and cultural valued items. Myanmar and China had diplomatic, trade and cultural relations as early as Pyu era.
