The 2nd Toyota Mekong Club Football Championship will launch in five countries – Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam in late 2015. The Championship was resumed in 2014 and the project is operated by Toyota to show the supports for the development of football in Mekong countries, it is learnt. “It is planned to launch in five countries to bring sustainable, innovative and exciting solution. The new tournament will make football accessible to football fans and can attract to support their respective teams, said Mr. Kyoichi Tanada, Chairman of Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Engineering Manufacturing Co., Ltd and Toyota Motor, Thailand Co., Ltd.The purpose of this Championship is to produce better Toyota cars and to become the “best partners” for each Mekong country, it is learnt. Matches will be played in each five participating Mekong countries from 1st November 2015 to 20th December.
