Curriculum is drawing for tourist guide course to train tourist guides in Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake in August, 2015, learnt from Ministry of Hotels and Tourism. Professional tourist guides will train the junior tourist guides who have two years working experience in three regions. MyanmarTourist Guides Association and Ministry of Hotels and Tourism are discussing the drawing of curriculum, it is learnt. “Trainings will be better as it is given with the cooperation of Myanmar Tourist Guides Association and the Ministry. There are short-day trainings in other places”, said a responsible person of the Ministry. Tourist guides course is three weeks training. Professional tourist guides are training short-day Tourist guide training in Bagan at the moment, it is learnt. At the end of June, 2015, over 4,000 guide licences issued; 1,291 guides working in the country; 100 in Bagan, it is learnt.
