The citizens of Myanmar celebrated the Waso Fullmoon Day at various pagodas and monasteries all around the country. This Waso Fullmoon Day is also called the Dhamma Setkya Day as on this day Lord Buddha first preached the 5 disciples the Dhamma Setkya Sermon.

According to Buddhist believes this day is blessed with 4 Great Happenings in Lord Buddha’s life”:(1)when He was conceived in his mother’s womb,(2) when He renounced all worldly attachments and went into the forest to strive to become Buddha,(3) When he first delivered his Dhamma Setkya Sermon,(4) when He subdued the heretics with his omniscience.
