The steam train is 75 percent completed for transportation and finished on December

The steam train which will transported along Bangan-Kyaukpan Daung for tourists is completed 75%, said by Director U Zaw Weit from Myanmar railway.

The ancient steam train was tested to drive on 8 June 2014 and planning to transport as soon as possible.

“it is nearly ready to transport in the current. But the interior need to be ungraded so it will be ready to run on December,” said by U Zaw Weit from Myanmar railway.

The first train named YD-968 is ready to transport along Bagan-Kyauk Pan Daung for the foreign travelers and the second steam train named YD 629 needed the detail decoration and after completed will be used as the additional one along this route.

“The charge will be collected USD 250 per tourist and on the start of transporting date will be charge as USD 199 as promotion,” said by the responsible person from Myanmar railway.

The joint operation for running the luxury train around the country is announcing the proposal for private companies on 15 September 2014.
